Lady Constance “Connie” Reid (played by Emma Corrin) is a young aristocrat who, after marrying Sir Clifford Chatterley, finds herself trapped in a passionless marriage. When Sir Clifford returns from World War I with injuries that prevent him from walking, Connie begins a secret relationship with Oliver Mellors (Jack O'Connell), the gamekeeper on the family estate. This affair leads her to a sexual and emotional awakening that challenges the social norms of the time.
